design brief |
To create smart packaging for shoes that has an after life.
|
solution |
Woodblox for shoes was designed with the intentions of extending the life of packaging so the deliverables go beyond just packaging. In a group of 5, with graphic as well product designers, we targeted aspects like manufacturing, packaging, distributing etc., but one of the major aspects which we covered was the post-packaging process
|
Target audience |
Our target audience was 18-25 years of age, mostly students and graduates who are usually on the go, changing hostels, apartments, etc. Around this persona, we designed sturdy packaging that could be converted into a shelf by breaking through its perforations, and organising it as per the instructions.
The shelf can also be continuously added onto, or built up further as more and more shoe boxes are accumulated. Along with the advantage of storage and waste prevention from consumer end, there also plays an advantage for the brand itself, since this approach adds a reason for its customers to carry out a purchase again. |
